Pacific Radiology (Dunedin)

The Pacific Radiology Group’s flagship facility features joinery solutions throughout the patient journey.  It all fits perfectly in the right spaces, and it all fits perfectly with the Pacific Radiology brand aesthetic.

Of their 47 nationwide clinics, Pacific Radiology Dunedin is the standard-bearer, spanning two levels and 2100m² of a new commercial building on Great King Road. Inside, patients can access state-of-the-art breast imaging, MRI, PET/CT, ultrasound, and x-ray services.

As the cleverly designed patient flow leads from the reception and through to treatment rooms, patients are exposed to multiple examples of joinery in the same light, warming natural wooden finish.  This includes the reception area, cabinetry, seating, timber walls, and screens.

For the patient, it’s a visual reminder that highlights the premium level of continuity of care provided by the Pacific Radiology Group.  The design relaxes and reassures, allowing the joinery to stand apart from the required sterility, as the interior communicates both clinical effectiveness and compassion in equal amounts.

For the Doctors and Nurses, everything is ordered and arranged to support their routines.  The cabinetry fits snugly around functional equipment, making the most efficient use of the space, and working with the way in which they dispense their duties and care for the patients.

Nobody really desires to visit a healthcare clinic.  But when they do, it’s important they feel cared for and confident in the abilities of the professionals they’re consulting.  The design subconsciously impacts this opinion, and when patients encounter a clinic such as Pacific Radiology’s in Dunedin, the attention to detail in the joinery is representative of the attention to detail they can expect from the medical professionals helping them.

The joinery has to be as precise as the treatment.  And it is.
